5. Calm Down...Pre-Orders...

This book will get a lot of play the next week...and it's gonna be brutal...AT FIRST. O'Neill will trot out on hate radio and Cable TV...spewing his bile and lies. There'll be a bunch of articles on this subject and O'Neill's 15 minute clock will run...then reality will hit.

Already there's a well established paper trail of partisanship on this guy to destroy his "non-partisan" bullshit. Next, he's connected to both the Bush family and Enron...easily hung on his neck for anyone who saw F911 and came away with a positive message of the movie...and then Mr. O'Neill is gonna have to answer a lot of questions. Then watch what happens.

Already I heard Chuck Todd...no "liberal media"...reporting on this book and was careful to avoid saying that O'Neill served with Kerry and then mentioned his Rehnquist and Bush connections. I was stunned. He also mentioned the backer of this venture is a guy by the name of Perry...another "Texas Ranger"...with lots of money and conflicts. Looks like we could take a bunch of birds down with this stupid move.

I hope the Kerry campaign turns Max Cleland loose on this one. What Howard Dean is doing to keep the debate going on the Iraq War, Max will spearhead on the military end. I can't believe these assholes have the stones to keep this story going as they're playing into Kerry's strengths...he's fought campaigns where his military record was slimed and came out even stronger.

Many of the wingnuts haven't gotten the reality memo yet that the tricks they pulled in 2000 and before aren't working this year. If anything, they're overplaying. They've got lots of money and we just have to stay strong and let them burn themselves out. They eventually will.

I heard a great analogy about Americans...and I say Repugnicans in general this morning...they're like the "teenagers" of the world. They don't care what they use or consume, think they know more than everyone else and is always right.

10. I believe you are counting on the SCLM doing it's job...

IF the media did in fact point out this guys dubious ties to both the Bush family and Enron et al, then you may be right.

But let's be honest..the media will NOT point out this guys record nor will they attempt to portray Kerry's record in a correct way.

We've all heard about CNN's shift to the FOX style...who will CNN have to discuss the book...Saxby Chambliss?

11. They Can't Deny Our Voice Right Now.

As long as folks like Howard Dean and Dennis Kucinich and Teresa Kerry and Max Cleland and others will get camera time and microphones, we have a voice.

Look at even more pieces of the puzzle on O'Neill and others involved in this smear are coming to light...between postings on blogs here, writers like Joe Connason and Will the buzz will generate through the campaign. It just might not be out of John Kerry's lips.

We can and will push back now.
