I would turn it around and say THEY did not serve with HIM. That puts the lie out front. Wording could be a little awkward, but the effect would be stronger.

Maybe - "GOP swiftboat vets DID NOT serve with John Kerry." Then either "IT'S ANOTHER LIE" or "THEY'RE LYING AGAIN" or "Listen to his actual boatmates."

2. Cool but you might flip the "did not serve"

to put it next to "chimp's swift boat vets" rather than next to Kerry like this:

"The Chimp's swift boat vets DID NOT serve with John Kerry!
IT'S ANOTHER LIE!"

That makes it harder to get an errant reading that your sign says something about Kerry not serving.
