but I have to say that she has never voted is VERY SAD - and actully shocking...I'm glad she is voting this time though - but when I think of what our foremothers had to do to secure the right to vote for us it makes me terribly sad to think your Mother never took advantage of this very precious right.

Shes watched all the convention and news coverage so far. Shes always voted. I told my friends..........i would get her to the polls if i have to carry her in. Thank God with the help of her walker........she can still proudly go Vote for Kerry. Suprising for her age....how she catches on to how nasty Bush is.

getting out of the car. At her precinct, they will come out to her car and let her vote--don't know if that's an option for you at your precinct.
Also, they are supposed provide handicapped parking at all precincts too.
Just FYI. :)

Why hasn't she voted before? Was she a citizen? Of course my sister has gotten a woman who is in her early 60's to vote for the first time in 40 years (Democrat of course). She is divorced and I think many women didn't vote because their husband did. Strange.

Bless her heart, even though she is late to the party. Lost my Mom at 85 last year; her first vote was for FDR, and she was a staunch Dem to the end. Give Mom a smooch for all of us.
