Clarence Thomas has been interviewed by White House lawyers as a possible choice to be the next chief justice of the United States, says the author of a new biography.

Thomas says he isn't interested but could find it hard to turn down an opportunity to be the first black man to lead the Supreme Court, said biographer Ken Foskett.

"I think people would be surprised to know that Thomas knows everyone in the building by first name," Foskett said.

Nominating Thomas would guarantee a rancorous Senate confirmation battle and a reprise of lurid allegations of sexual harassment involving former employee Anita Hill.

If Thomas' explicit antics can get past the Senate, I'm sure "Strokin'" won't be a problem.

Personally, I think if Bush gets appointments to the court, he's going to try to wear down the opposition by putting forth two hunks of red meat for consumption first, then following up with a stealth facist.

Clarence Thomas would fit the bill nicely as a nominee meant for rejection.

I read he seldom talks to the other jurists and almost never asks questions when a case is being heard. He's still mad at the whole world over the anita hill matter. He'd love to destroy the american media and all democrats.
