I've been having trouble with the streaming for the last 7 or 8 weeks. I had problems with my old computer and I got a new one and still having the same problems with the feed cutting in and out when I try to listen live. I've been catching up through the archives but I miss the real time interactivity that I used to have.
Great show last week. I listened to the archives last night and you did a great job shooting down the Republican woman caller that said she was so much better off since * was appointed. She was totally misinformed by the right wing radio ranters and left me with the impression that she was completely self absorbed and couldn't care less about the rest of the people in the country! Typical Republican, I got mine and that is all that matters.

These are guys in their 50's & 60's who have B O R I N G lives.. They get a phone call, or e-mail offering them a chance to get together with a bunch of their "old war buddies" and travel all over the country FOR FREE (or maybe they are even getting "compensated"..Nice hotels for a few months.. expense accounts..nice restaurants...getting on TV..(maybe THEY have a 'book in them, too')..

All they gotta do to get this "all expenses-paid 'road-trip'".. they just have to tell some tall tales about a guy they didn;t even really know that well...and of whom they HAVE to be very jealous..


There are probably LOTS of viet vets who would gladly take this offer.. They probably have lousy jobs (at the end of their careers)..a wife that they are tired of listening to..some surly teens or lazy 20 somethings always bugging them for money..

116. Bush AWOL Records Lost, Now Found !!

NEW RECORDS INDICATE GAP IN BUSH MILITARY SERVICE

Earlier this year, the White House released documents it said proved President Bush fulfilled his National Guard service during the Vietnam War. White House spokesman Scott McClellan at the time said the documents "means he served" and that there was no longer any question about whether the President actually showed up to fulfill his duty. But according to new records released late last week, Bush did not accumulate any flying hours at all for several months during 1972.

According to Bloomberg news service, newly released computerized records provide no record of Bush's whereabouts between July 1972 and September 1972 when he was supposed to be serving in the Alabama National Guard. Earlier this month, the Pentagon said those documents had been "inadvertently destroyed."

The Associated Press is currently suing for the release of copies of all the records, which are legally required to exist at the Texas state archives. However, President Bush has refused to authorize their release, forcing AP to invoke the Freedom of Information Act.
