5. When yelling at Krugman who has impeccable academic, research, and

intelligence credentials, he sounds like the asshole he is. But because of the same reason that RWingers like Bush*, they like O'Reilly: he is a blowhard who throws hate around with facts he pulls out of his butt.
Seeing other people who are as ignorant and prejudiced as you are being successful, is a succor for ignorant Right Wing hearts and minds. (by the way, a friend told me she read in a British paper the analysis of Bush's gaffe during the military appropriations speech: they said that Americans like to see a stupid person succeed because it tells them you don't need preparation,education, or brains to be president...)

6. O'Reilly can't come close

to having the journalistic integrity that Al Franken has. He gets slammed by Franken every time with the facts and Franken's quick wit. That's why he hates him with a passion. Al points out his lies on a daily basis so it's become a little harder for O'Reilly to do his job. (Which is spreading propaganda.)

O'Rielly is disgusting. Just like 99% of the conservatives out there, they throw out red herrings to distract everyone from the issue at hand. Instead of addressing the quote Krugman cited, O'Rielly blasted him for where he acquired the quote! They never really got to talk about what the original topic was, which was what O'Rielly said. Argh. More people need to call them on this, it disgusts me.
