5. I find it somewhat puzzling

That no one seems very interested in finding out who originally created the forged document and what their motive was in producing it. From what I've heard an Italian intelligence agency was responsible for aquiring the forged document and passing it on to US or British intelligence, but no one suggested the Italians created the document themselves.

I would have thought that at some point someone would ask or seek to find out who created the forged document in the first place. Strangely enough this issue is hardly ever raised. Puzzling.
