John McCain bugs me

I understand he is a great American who made enormous sacrifices for this great country, but does it just sort of weird you out that he has basically kind of sort of the same relationship with the gop that he had with his captors? i just find this incredibly creepy. But its probably just me.

McCain likes the play on moderates and naive democrats. Make no mistake McCain would stab a knife through the democratic party if he ever got the chance.

He's the republican partys happy face.

If McCain really gave a damn about anyone he would leave the republican party. But he doesn't. You know why? Because he's one of them. End of story. He's not the nice guy he wants you to think he is.

Basically he is your classic stab in the back guy. He wants you to think he's on your friend, but on the side he's helping to fu** you over.

he is currently part of the plan to, in subtle ways, separate and "destroy." He says various things that make no consistent sense. Maybe they have him drugged also. One day, he defends. The next 5 days, he destroys. Makes no sense to me, and I have no interest in defending him.

10. I, like you, have no interest in defending him or

trying to understand him. To me, he's insignificant and untrustworthy for both parties. I have empathy for what he went through, but there is something creepy about him and it's probably because of what he went through - I wouldn't let the man spend the night in my house because he just reminds me of someone who is about to go off. Personally, I think he has a grandiose image of himself, and all the rest of the world is just stupid. May be true.

5. We stupidly gave McCain much more credit than he is worth

and it almost blew back on us (i.e., "was Edwards your second choice Mr. Kerry?"). Enough with this reach out and touch a slimy republican shit. We gave this guy much more billing than he ever could have gotten, made him some demi-god (which he never was) and now he's going to speak at their convention against us. We really are stupid, slow learners, aren't we?? How many times do we have to be stung by these anti-American-people criminals until we recognize they are all dirty to the bone??

... I don't see how ANY MAN could remain in a working relationship with the slime ball pond scum bunch that smeared him the way he was smeared in the 2000 primary.

I suppose some people can just "rise above it", but IMHO, you have a screw loose if you can. And frankly, I do think McCain has a screw loose, perhaps his service to our country took a greater toll than we know.

...with everybody. However, MdCain 'stood tall' twice for Kerry (not soft on defense; war record). My fantasy is that he's got a maniacal revenge deal going and he'll screw Bush right at the end of the campaign (especially if it looks like a lock on the Senate for us).

I feel that McCain is a whore for the right price. He has no integrity and gets no respect from me. The Neo Fascists have offered the right price for him to be on the same stage with them and spouting crap to promote there Fascist agenda.

Well, I agree with your assessment too. But how do you explain the anomalies: the instances where McCain sticks up for Kerry? That's the interesting part. McCain is, let's say, 60% whore and 40% OK dude. I do remember the Keating Five hearings. Sen. Cranston (CA) rolled for $800K, McCain rolled for a few trips to the Bahamas. His price has increased considerably.

14. I was thinking something similar, except for the revenge deal.

It is really odd the situation of supporting bush* when you hate him so. But I think he is staying on is better for Kerry. Since he is stumping for bush* he can't be labled as just ganging up on him. He has the cover of the bush* campaign to chastise the bush* campaign! It's possible that Kerry worked this perfectly. He works an agreement toget the McCain for VP into the media as a dig at bush*, and McCain stays where his parrying is the most effective, on the inside. If McCain was not part of bush*s team they would just attack him too. So if there's any 'revenge' it will be taken in the defeat of bush* not during the campaign, that would blow his cover.

Either that or he's a total whacko of some order.

with him when I agree with him and disagree with him when I disagree with him.

I do know that the bullcrap that the Republican leadership pulled on him during the primary was utterly dispicable and mirrors precicely what they are trying to do to Sen. Kerry.
