| Who watched Hardball last night? |
|
Could Chris Matthews be more one-sided? Maybe before Gulf II, but I started watching him again once the Iraq debate heated up because I generally agree with his point of view. However, watching him again has become unbearable.
Last night for instance, Chris was grilling Carl Jeffords on how the Democrats are so indecisive because they want to vote "No" on the recall, but "yes" to Cruz Bustamante. Did it ever occur to him to criticize the GOP for this power grab. And why has he not mentioned the Texas thing?
Gray Davis did us all a favor when he succinctly laid out the recent events that when pooled show that the GOP is nothing more than a tool of the mafia.

| 2. CA Dems Have Outfoxed the CA Repubs |
|
I didn't watch Hardball but did watch Fox on Saturday morning. Same thing, Fred Burns, Jim Angle, Birnbaum and Tony Snow laughing about how lame it was to say no on recall, yes on Bustamante. Saying this would never work, and would end up with lots of people voting republican (ok, that statement defies logic, but really they said it). Saying that pretty soon the Dems would have to abandon Gray Davis. Very lame. The only thing the Dems need to do is get Gray Davis and Bustamante on a commercial together to say no on recall, yes on Bustamante - its a win, win.
You know what - the Dems have an excellent simple message - no on recall, yes on Bustamante. People get that, and will vote on that.
The republicans have Arnold, Simon, Uberroth, McClintock etc etc. They have infighting, confusion and no sexy ad pitch. These same Fox guys were saying - by September you need these guys (Simon, Uberroth, McClintock) to drop out and not take votes away from Arnold. They said the conservatives may not like Arnold, but he is the best chance. They said Rush would attempt to influence the conservatives to shift support to Arnold.

Why do you guys watch Hardball? Or any other right-wing talk show for that matter? I stopped watching several months ago and discovered two things. First, I physically felt much better, probably because my blood pressure resumed normal levels. Second, I didn't miss them one bit.
Watching Hardball is like watching Ann Coulter. You get upset, you rant, and you help them all you can by boosting their ratings.
Stop watching.

| 9. The reason you watch is because you must know your enemy |
|
If you do not know what the other side is saying, how do you know how to respond? How to refute? Since they are in charge, it is also good to watch to find out what is going to happen to us, for if they are talking about it, it is because they are test marketing ideas. If we react quickly (as with the TIAP and other big brother measures) then we can stop some things. Ignoring the party in power is exactly what they want you to do!

All the evil DUers should send Tweety the Bush action doll, with a certain modification of an enhanced crotch, as befitting Tweety drooling over Bush's external plumbing.

| Do they sell Ken Doll Jeans? |
|
Ok, I have an Idea.
Let's dress the Piece Of Shit Action Hero Doll in blue jeans and send it to Cock Sucker Matthews.
Also, do they sell Porno Dolls with real peckers that stand up?
Can we attach one on the doll and tell Chris that it's for him?

| 10. Tweety; Was, Single-handedly, 17% Anti-GORE |
|
Edited on Sat Aug-23-03 09:13 AM by UTUSN
MATTHEWS is the devil incarnate for what he did to GORE every day of Campaign 2000. I watched and fumed and sent e-mails. But I just finished reading Sidney BLUMENTHAL's The Clinton Wars (yes, all 804 pages of it), and here's this:
from "The CLINTON Wars" by Sidney BLUMENTHAL, p. 723 *********QUOTE****** "In July 2000, the Project for Excellence in Journalism and the Committee of Concerned Journalists issued an unusual study of the 'character issue' as it had been reported thus far by the media. ....
The study found that 80 percent of the coverage of Gore concerned the manufactured issues either of his lack of truthfulness (34 percent) or of his being tainted with scandal (46 percent). Only 2 percent of the Gore-as-liar stories bothered to include an opposing point of view. Also, 'fully 17% of the statements about Gore's ties to scandal came from just one prime-time talk program, Hardball with Chris Matthews on CNBC.' Meanwhile, more than half of all Americans, 51 percent, told the Pew Research Center for People and the Presss that Gore's experience would make them more likely to vote for him." **************UNQUOTE*****

He said that the voters would be "smart" if they bail on B.Simon or McClintock in the recall election for ArNAZI if he looks to win towards the end, but suggests that it is BS for Cruz Bustamante to have his name on the ballot at all! Guess that we Democrats cannot be pragmatic or smart. He is a fat headed jerk and it is due to all the hot funky air he spews!
