| After watching the socalled debate between Cheney and Lieberman during the |
|
2000 campaign, I am now certain that Al Gore made the biggest mistake of his life in choosing Lieberman as his running mate. Not only was Lieberman pathetically sucking up to Cheney but agreeing with everything that arrogant and corrupt thief was doling out. When you look at the tape again and see what Lieberman did to Al Gore's campaign in Florida, it is clear that Lieberman was the Trojan horse of the Republicans in the Democratic camp undermining Al Gore's position on every critical issue.
This points up the need for Kerry-Edwards to keep Lieberman at arm's length from their campaign lest it too get undermined by this traitor.

but I know that I was disappointed and thought cheney sounded more self assured and knowledgeable. Little did I know who this cheney was. All I knew was that I wanted Gore to win and was so freaked out by subsequent debates between him and * that I haven't watched one to this day.
And who is going to be the moderator between * and Kerry? Please don't tell me our Dems are going to stand for the whore timmy?

He sucks worse than Zell Miller.
At least Zell says he's a Democrat that loves Republicans, Joe Lieberman (D-Fox News) still pretends to be a Democrat who loves Democrats, but F**ks us every chance he gets.

Gore could not have picked a worse candidate if he tried.
Even Zell Miller would have been better.

He was practically on bended knees begging for Cheney's approval. And Cheney was the fat ass who wanted the sit-down debate. Screw that.

That whole "no difference" thing made a lot of sense in context of that debate.

especially given Lieberman's total conversion to BUSH-NEOCON defender. But, while I wil agree that Lieberman's selection by Gore was his biggest mistake in 2000, I think Lieberman is convinced he is right and was just a dimwit in pandering to the REPUGS on the military votes in 2000. If you review his record, with the exception of military related issues and Israel, he has a very liberal voting record. I can only conclude that he is a self-deceived dimwit, who fancies himself the "bridge with the REPUGS....." This doesn't make me like him much more, but he is NOT in the same category as Zell Miller, for whom I have nothing but contempt.
