You seem to have a disdain for any and all sentiments expressed on DU. I would think you would be incredibly tired of posting on a message board with a bunch of people you seem so annoyed with.

This is in no way suggesting that you leave, but I am curious about it, since you never seem happy about anything.

I don't have disdain for sentiments at DU, just a few and those are the ones I target. You don't see me bashing Kerry and bitching about Edwards? Why, because that's how I'm voting. What I don't like is politics run amok.

I just watched the posted movie, and while I didn't think it was as funny as I was hoping, I didn't see it as a Christian bash. I am a Christian, and I see nothing wrong with satire that caricatures the more obnoxious side of what passes for followers of Christ in this country today.

I can appreciate satire of Fundamentalism, but I think this was poorly done, and not nearly as funny as it could have been.

I look forward to seeing the more positive side of your posts in the future. I'll admit that I may just not have noticed previous ones, and I can understand that if you considered this Cristian bashing, that you would object. I didn't see it that way. I just didn't think it was very entertaining.

and the reason so many christians vote republican is they are easily mislead and gullible

those who have taken him as their 'beloved') has degraded the true essence of Christianity. When George declares " I trust God is speaking through me" it just might shake any faith people have in George's god. Makes one wonder what kind of god those Republican's worship. Have a hunch that god's name is Buck.

I see it as satirizing the attitudes of those who have "Old-Testamentized" Christ's purported message.

And anyway, any religion that can't laugh at itself isn't worth belonging to. Hmmmm, on second thought maybe that's why I don't belong to any...
