| An example of outsourcing gone beserk |
|
I was sitting in a waiting room of a blood lab today, getting blood work for a routine physical, when I overheard two folks talking. One was an architect, the other his neighbor. The architect was upset that he had to sign off on all his drawings stating that he personally oversaw all of them (this was due to the nature of the client, I believe).
If he didn't have to do this, he could (like many other architects he knew of) outsource the drawings to India.
For $5 - a drawing. You heard right - five dollars per drawing.
Are there any architects here than can confirm that this is being done? I find it unbelieveable.

| 1. No, but Radiologists (Physicians) are in the same straits |
|
Radiology is increasingly being oursourced to India and the low-rent parts of Europe.
But don't you know, that with all the money our masters save, they're able to create more, better-paying jobs for us Americans?
Long may it wave!
I don't blame India -- I blame the ratbastards who do the outsourcing.
