It is very nasty. Lights are flickering. Heading northeast still. Losing some strength, but still powerful.

The eye is awesome when it passes over, though, isn't it? I remember Hurricane Belle in the late '70s passing right over us. HUGE storm followed by pure calm, then right back to the huge storm.

You should be past the worst of it, though. The trailing end is usually less severe than the leading end.

3. I have friends in Orlando and Boca and some folks who bought new place

in Bonita Springs...and I've called them all. I'm in NC, Raleigh, and we are all in the path of this...so having been through it before I try to call the "Newbies."
