Anyone remember the Democratic Party's Nationally Televised Telethon????

God, that's something people probably want to forget!

I hadn't thought about it in years until I watched one fo the funniest movies ever last night--"Girls Will Be Girls." The aging actress (a drag queen, as are all the female roles) tries to jumpstart her career with an infomercial, and says something like it'll be as popular as the Democratic Party's Telethon!

Although since it was live I doubt a tape exists anywhere!
