Who was Margie Schoedinger? Why was her death covered up?

1. She sounds to me like a 'straw woman'

look for ranters and ya might get 'em. Her story is odd, and not one I would discount immediately.

Sounds somewhat similar to all of the "Clenis Crimes'. The bait has been out there for 3 years+ at this point.

I guess you bit at it and then joined DU?

2. The lawsuit she filed was an actual complaint filed of record in Texas

state court. There are threads here that have discussed her and provide links to the state court website where you can get the lawsuit.

The threads also have the various Texas newspaper articles that were written when she filed suit and when she was found dead from the "self inflicted?" gunshot.

Like most of the folks from the "weed that would be king"'s past (and the BFEE's past) they are mysteriously silenced or they forget the version of the tale they once shared as a result of unexpected riches. I am not sure if she is discussed in Larry Flynt's book on the BFEE or if Kitty Kelly's book will include her tail.

There were many that knew her and had interviewed her before her untimely demise that believed her and found her sane and rational.

3. Media Blackout on Schoedinger Story

It is absolutely amazing how this subject has been completely ignored by the national media.

All you hear about is that swift boat veterans are trashing John Kerry. The anti-Kerry book, which is mostly unsubstantiated venom is all over the national media. What about the dozens of anti-Bush books? Combined, they haven't gotten close to the press coverage this single anti-Kerry book has. What about the group of scientists and Nobel Prize winners against George Bush? They came out against Bush, claiming that their research was being distorted by the Bush Administration. This story got a 10 second sound bite on television and was never mentioned again. Nobel Prize winning scientists must not make good copy.

It seems the media is either afraid or bought and paid for, maybe both. The Schoedinger story should have been all over the national media. Such an accusation against a sitting president should have been big news, especially after the woman's death.

Looks pretty unfair and unbalanced to me.
