it's from another board I'm a moderator on and it's in response to the question of "do we despise Bush"

"I don't hate them, but I do despise them. I despise them for their cynicism, their cronyism and their contempt for the American people. I despise their cunning, cupidity and their cruel disdain for the lives of their fellow citizens all couched in the pius humbuggery of "patriotism". I despise them for their deliberate and proud ignorance, their colloquial bumptiousness which blinds them to a "decent respect for the opinion of mankind" and a lack of conscience all in the pursuit of a strategy without policy. I despise them for their Machiaviallian support of frauds, charlatans, criminals, fools and knaves while crying out "character, character, character!" and claiming the moral high ground as "freedom lovers" and the destroyers of "evildoers". Most of all, I despise them for their banality of vision - a banality which when faced with the greatest attack on U.S. soil in our history gave us a President who advised us to "go shopping and vacation" and dismissed the best opportunity we've ever had as a nation to be the "last, best hope for earth."
