| So, when do the high oil prices catch up to us? |
|
If the upward spiral is on oil futures, when is it going to bite us at the pump? Can they sustain lower prices until after the election?, or will we wake up next month to higher pump prices?

| 2. They're already going near / over $2.00 in Vegas |
|
I expect to see some price increases at most of the stations I drive by on the way to work, now that this is Monday morning and the managers will be in to reprogram the pumps and change the signs.
And to think, a couple weeks ago it was just $1.83. :eyes:

| 3. I think it's suppose to take about two months for prices to |
|
have an effect at the pump. But it varies according to whether it's going up or going down.

| 4. It's $1.94/gal. in West Michigan! |
|
Down from $2.05 last week and up from $1.89 a few weeks back.
Plus, with the Labor Day holiday coming up, it'll probably go up 25¢ or 35¢ or more per gallon within the next couple of weeks!

| 6. If it hits in September Floridians are in for stickershock. |
|
For all of August we haven't had to pay tax on the gas we buy so our prices are currently 1.72-1.75 for regular (in the tampa area). With the gas tax that puts us at around 1.86-1.89 - if you add in the price increases, that will be a big jump come September.
I have no idea when they catch up to us, but I thought I remember reading that some of these record prices for oil were for oil to be delivered in September.
