North Koreans- love 'em or hate 'em, but they really let it rip!

There is a discussion going on in LBN about the following colorful description (90% true) of * by North Korea:

"It is the greatest tragedy for the U.S. that Bush, a political idiot and human trash, still remains in the presidential office of the world's only superpower, styling himself an emperor of the world,"

Is it just me, or do more people here think North Korean official news broadcasts are hilarious in their no-bullshit opinions of their adversaries? Al-sahaf, Saddam's information minister ("Baghdad Bob") is no match for the smokin' writers of North Korean press releases.

Sample this blistering literary gem on dubya, which the North Koreans came out with in January 2003:

"Bush has so far earned an ill fame as an emotional backbiter, but his recent address clearly proves he's a shameless charlatan reversing black and white under the eyes of the world, and the incarnation of the misanthropy as he rejects the people out of his favour for no reason."
(they should have included the meaning of the words 'charlatan' and ''misanthropy' for dubya)

And then, they took on Rumsfeld:

"(Rumsfeld's) outbursts cannot be construed otherwise than a desperate shrill cry of a psychopath on his death bed..." and "(Rumsfeld was) not likely at all that he would speak truth as he is obsessed with wantonly harassing peace and security in different parts of the world and igniting wars".

They're really crazy aren't they? Those North Koreans.... Perhaps Colon could go there and give a Diplomatic Lingo 101 lecture?

But you know what, their choice of words for the Bush Administration is not very different from DUers. Right?

As long as the nation is not attacked in this manner, you cannot call it traitorous. DUers mostly heap verbal abuse on elected officials, not the USA. There's a significant difference.

but it also reminds me that N.K. is developing an ICBM capable of hitting the western U.S. (where I live) right now. A real threat to American lives that could have and should have been solved instead of chasing shadows in Iraq. In this case the enemy of my enemy is NOT my friend.

seriously though, yeah, I know, its fucked up. But the bottom line is they know what happens if they launch missles. If they are primarily unhappy with Bush--and Kerry wins--we have a real chance at dismantling the situation. I hope so, at least.

12. I am not sure if the only problem

is having Bush in the white house, I believe that Clinton also had problems with them. Clinton sent over Carter to negotiate about nukes and they lied to him at that time I believe. So I don't think this will go away just by putting Kerry in office.

We are going to have to be tough on them as well. I like what Teddy R. said "Speak softly and carry a Big Stick." The good thing about Kerry is that I think he will carry a Big Stick. Hopefully that will deter them.

13. Clinton and Madeline Albright actually made alot of progress with them.

They were in the middle of negotiations when Bush took over and flushed it all down the crapper.
