Shiite liberation, another lie?

Does it bother anybody that we're fighting the exact people Bush said we had to go liberate? Sadr and his Shiite followers in the south, the poverty stricken people of Saddam City, now Sadr City; those are the people we were supposed to be liberating. How is it the Bushies didn't know these Shiites wouldn't support a democratic, pluralistic government? It's, at least, another failure in intelligence; at worse, another Bush war lie. Don't you think? Putting aside the WMD, don't you think we were cynically manipulated to "liberate" people when the Bushies knew the Shiites wouldn't assimilate after the "liberation"?

1. ya i was sitting in the breakroom tonight

watching cnn headline news when they showed the massive explosions in one of the cities under attack. what struck me is that hundreds or maybe thousands of people are dying under these air attacks and no one says anything..our people are dying and their people are dying and for what? this is a horrible time to be an american-i never thought we would be in this situation again.....

2. Do the mass majority of people even know or care

about what is going on and why???? It's so damn frustrating we're fighting the people we were supposed to liberate and so many people think Bush is doing such a good job...
Comparing 911 to Pearl Harbor by this time in WW2 when we had a REAL leader we were 6 weeks into the Normandy invasion...Where has Bush led us? Down a fucking rathole of the mother of all quagmires. At the expense of billions of unaccounted for dollars and we are just as much at danger than before 911....
