| 17. There's another facet to this event which has been overlooked... |
|
Sen. Max Clelland made a trip to Bush's "ranch" with a letter signed by him and other veterans in the Senate asking pRes. Bush to denounce the attack ads.
When Sen Clelland shows up, a Bush lackey presents him with a letter from pRes. Bush asking Sen. Kerry to do the same...(?)
Pardon me...?!!
A letter was drafted for pRes. Bush; Several Senators who are veterans signed the letter; Sen. Clelland travels to Texas to hand deliver the letter to pRes. Bush...
This required a great deal of effort.
And what does His Royal Flatulence say? "Oh, sure, Max...and while you're here, could you take our letter to the Kerry campaign?"
What an arrogant Asshole!!!
"Their letter" was obviously an afterthought in an attempt to diffuse this situation, and required very little effort...
I saw the video of Sen. Clelland's statements and the "press conference" that followed. The Senator did an excellent job stating the grievances and answering questions. He is a true statesman and gentleman.
But, I somehow have the feeling that he was thinking, "F*ck you, Assbite. Get your own people to deliver your letter!!!"

|
It was 71 percent yes when I voted, just now. Yes, still quite high, but I hate it when ANY pro-Kerry numbers go down. Even slightly.
