For some reason, I could not reply to your email. What I posted yesterday was not meant to be a positive for Bush, but simply, trying to show how some people are so mislead by the media and their talking points. It was hard to figure out where the person who wrote the letter to the Kansas City Star was being facitious, or if she was serious. After all, gas has never been $4.00 per gallon that I can think of, and the economy is so bad, it is getting very serious for the working force middleclass, and the elderly. Just lately, Bush doing away with overtime, should be talked about every day. You are much more of a historian than I, and for sure my writings are anything but perfect. (However,I don't believe it's a bad thing for a 71 year old woman like myself to want to be involved in politics.)It's about all I have left in my life that I truly enjoy. I work every day doing what little I'm able to do, to try and get John Kerry elected for our next president, because I believe he is an honest and strong individual. I'm a life long democrat, and would work for any cause to help my party. Yes, Roosevelt, Truman, and many others were great, and believe it or not, I've lived through that era. In my opinion, George W. Bush is the worst president in history, and it mystifies me as to why people are still clamoring after him after all his dangerous lies and mis-cues and downright stubborness that some interpret as being decisive. It's showing one is strong to change their mind as needed, for God's sake. I've had to do it many times raising my two sons and daughter and caring for my husband through all his many health problems, and taking care of my invalid sister. Bush is too weak to change his "mind". Kerry is not. Being a member of DU is a highlight of my life, and hopefully, the next time I submit an article, I can make myself clearer.
