| 3. Different mental approaches |

I was just thinking about all these blantant lies we keep batting down, like "Kerry joined the Naval Reserve, he wasn't in the real Navy," etc., really stupid stuff.
What I realized is that this kind of thing just appeals to people who prefer gossip to reality, which I think RW's do. They like to hear what they want to hear, and don't want to look at anything which might contradict what they want to hear.
Whereas Dems/Independents seem to be people who are actually willing to take a look at reality in addition to what they want to hear. They're willing to analyze the input.
I think it's not only a character issue, but an issue of mental outlook, what you will allow into your world.
The Roves know their base is like this, so they use it cynically. The rest just try to dope themselves mentally by only allowing their "beautiful minds" to see what they prefer to see.
