| 1. I don't think there were ever more than 5,000 at the DNC |
|
And that was the maximum, most of whom were anti-gay, anti-abortion wackos.

| 10. 5,000 was the number most repeated |
|
Since they were right wing wackos, I think that number is probably inflated.
RNC talking points have been issued to the networks. All the sites say "tens of thousands."
Try nearly a MILLION, assholes!

| 11. We'll never know the true number in NYC today.................. |
|
The point of this thread is that the contrast in the numbers of protesters today and the amount in Boston is pretty staggering. If we can translate the energy that was in NYC today into the remaining four months running up to the election, there may be a mandate for change shown at the polls.
500,000...wow.

| 6. What's interesting about MSNBC numbers is that it matches the estimates |

days before. It appears on TV that there were many more. This was a huge important rally that I'm sure the media will discuss mildly. remember when 100,000 showed up in DC for an anti-war march. The media couldn't stop reporting it. They couldn't believe that many would show up to protest. Now what will they say?

| 7. Republican Propagandists at CNN, Censored News Nightly, are reporting |
|
"tens of thousands."
When the official GOP liars report any anti-Bush numbers they are usually lower by a factor of 10 to 50.
I was unfortunately not able to attend today, but did make the New York anti-war protests last year, when CNN pretended they didn't happen.
John Stewart (who made mincemeat out of the Repuke Wolf Blitzer by the way) will probably have some fun with this this week.

| 8. CSpan said they were set to cover protests in Boston |
|
but that there really was nothing to cover. There were probably 10,000 at most - Greens, Naderites, and anarchists probably.
