Heads up to the people who just got new AAR radio in their area

CALL THE SPONSORS WHO DROP ADVERTISING (if you can find out who they are) AND THELL THEM THAT BECAUSE THEY ARE NARROW-MINDED AND PETTY, YOU WILL NOT BUY FROM THEM, AND WILL TELL YOUR FRIENDS NOT TO EITHER..

When a station first switches formats, they hear from their "old pals" , many times more than their new friends..

Don't let them get cold feet..

When KCAA started carrying some AAR programming, I called, and the lady I spoke with kept me on the line for about 15 minutes, picking my brain, and thanking me for appreciating their efforts...

1. Good idea. Yesterday I was in the car and it was heaven -

- listening to people who actually made SENSE! And on top of that, they didn't yell. They weren't rude. It was bliss I tell ya.
And I'll write some of those letters. Thanks for the suggestion! :)

2. will they ever be coming back to chicago?

i haven't been able to listen since they went off the air months ago...and they promised to be back up soon...

3. Couldn't get a local phone number -- or any phone number

They seem to be using a station owned by Clear Channel or somthing like it. Several weeks ago I just wanted to thank them for playing Al Franken reruns -- but this week I discovered the station really is doing AAR. I'll try again! The old motherhood trick, you know: catch the kid doing something right and praise them for it.
