| you can hardly tell that people are being slaughtered in Iraq |
|
and Afghanistan, and the Sudan, and soldiers are stacking up like cord wood, and jetliners are being bombed, and 6,000 g.i.'s are crippled and blinded and worse, and American sons and daughters are dying daily for lies.
you can barely notice dead children strewn about the perimeters of Baghdad, or the smell of decay, or the hidden graveyards and invisible weapons of mass destruction. or the mothers and old people bleeding in the dust or the radiation incurred from old ordinance lying about. you'd hardly notice through schwarzenegger's bellowing that the Arab world is about to explode, or Iran is soon to be invaded and conquered, or that all holy hell is about to cut loose in the middle east.
people are suffering by the thousands and dying by the same numbers. young men and women are still enlisting and some want to come home and some never will and some are sacrificing ALL for cheap lies and greedy maniacs in expensive suits, but you'd hardly notice.
there's the America you see with your eyes, the surface America, and there's the ugly, hidden, monstrous America under the surface. you can see the glare of materialism and luxury, but you can't see the suffering and destitution and madness at the heart of this massive system we call our government.
a few months ago, all we were allowed to see and read about was the big fat war in Iraq and Afghanistan and on our shadowy enemies. now it's back on page 23-A, in a tiny little corner. you'd hardly notice that people are being slaughtered in Iraq.

And what about those Twins? Can I have some of what they are on? I mean, they are like, totally detached from the world and I'm sure they don't bother their empty minds with dead and maimed bodies. They are just soooo like ...american and everything.

| 4. I think that Gov. Ahnold should quit being a "Girlie Man" and go to Bagh- |

dad! He's got lots of experience from doing all of those violent movies and stuff so he should just STFU and do his duty - outside of the green zone of course...
And he should make a special unit out of all of the young college repugs, too.

Last night I stopped in mid-surf on Sean Hannity trying to get Chuck Rangel to agree that everything is wonderful in Bushworld - 50 million people have been liberated, don'tcha know, and I forget what else, and the mass graves are no longer in use. And I wondered, as I often do, how many Iraqis have been killed and where they're putting those bodies. If not in mass graves, then tens of thousands of individual ones.
I only stopped to watch because Rangel was not having any of Hannity's B.S., and I couldn't help noticing that Hannity reduced the number of liberated people to 20 million in his wrap-up. Otherwise, I can't even force myself to watch this lying festival.
