| Will Bush try to bring back the Draft if elected to a Second Term? |

I think he will. He is exhausting our Military and has no other option if he want to continue His war.

He really does want 4 more wars (Iran, N. Korea, China, Syria are all possibilities).
And I'm 19. :scared::nuke::scared::nuke:

|
Don't they UNDERSTAND that they will be drafted too? (I'm a college student) And then they rant about how abortion is baby-killing---sorry, freeps, but I have more important things to worry about.
War and peace. What the economy will be like when I graduate. Climate change (which I'm really tempted to say is getting even more volatile). Peak Oil. I could go on and on...

That lets them know they are "thinking". Abortion is always unfortunate, a tragedy when it happens. To do so for primary means of birth control is a sad commentary on the human condition. For the government to intervene in so private a matter, especially when the decision is whether to sacrifice the mother or the child so one can survive is not government's business, if it is proscribed out of hand, a non-viable fetus trumps mom every time. Your acquaintances are fighting a strawman... it is not either or, yes or no. This is an issue that is deliberately being used to control their votes, to garner their support, and all on false premises.

with the fetus, but really don't give a shit after the fetus comes to term and is born.
Is there going to be a draft if Captain Codpiece gets re-selected? You bet.

even though I am pro-life, we argued over whether the term only extends to the fetus or whether it extends to after childbirth.
This freep REALLY needs some enlistment forms...:grr::mad:

|
What a bunch of pansies! If they want to vote for a war president and his ridiculous war, then why are they still here? Or are they "girlie-men" like their action hero Gropenführer says they are? Challenge them to be "real men" and join up or else shut their wussy mouths.
What to say to young freepers: "If you are a young man and vote for Bush, then you MUST join the military immediately and BEG to go to Iraq, or else you are a traitor to America."
As for you, I hope you NEVER go because we need smart young men to stay here and make America better.

Do NOT give them your real name under ANY circumstances, and don't let them talk to you for very long. These fuckers are trained to capture young people... actually, don't stay long enough for them to ask YOU questions. Just tell them you have a bunch of friends that are thinking about joining and you're just picking up forms/brochures because you are in the area, and that you have NO TIME to talk because you are in a big hurry. If they try to keep you, just say "forget about it!... no time no time!" and begin to walk out. These guys are VERY good at what they do, so do not underestimate them - they employ bounty hunter tactics. Another option is to look for recruitment websites from school and have these freeps sign up online in front of everybody.
Bring the forms/brochures to the wussy freepers and MAKE them sign the forms and return them to you, so you can help them join ASAP in order to prove that they are real patriots. When they begin to back off (they will), just laugh and say... whatever the hell you want! You'll think of a lot of putdowns, I'm sure. Anyway, if any of the freeps DO sign or give you their info to pass on to recruiters, congratulate them for being true to their words... and you'll be helping out another American that may have been drafted later on who is AGAINST this immoral war.

If they get too pushy, I'll just show them my schedule and say, "Hey, look, I gotta get to class RIGHT NOW, just please give me the forms."
I do not misunderestimate the military propaganda machine. I used to be a "cadet" in the Civil Air Patrol. :puke:
Edit: One freep in particular really blew it with me--I don't care what he thinks anymore, he can make fun of me all he wants. But he will be the first to have an enlistment form shoved in front of his face.

Don't show them your schedule or ANYTHING!... but I think you already know that.
I look forward to hearing your story about the asshole freep... about how big a chicken he is... boOK bok bk bk! (heh, I'm not sure how to write chicken sounds)
By the way, I am doing the same thing, but with guys my age (30s - age or prior service is NOT an excuse if they want Bush and war). Even if they get pissed, I call them little pussies and America haters, or whatever. When they say, "well what about YOU?" I tell them that I HATE war and do not take orders from fascists. I will NEVER fight unless attacked, and even then I would first look for peaceful solutions... etc.

I will have my schedule pre-folded so all they can see is that I have my comm class in three minutes--they won't even get my name.
And I'll only have that just in case they get too pushy.

|
We've pretty much exhausted our military to the point that we're calling back troops from Europe and South Korea. My guess is that Bush will offer a non-military service with his draft proposal to those that "qualify". You can either go into the military or provide some sort of community service like the Peace Corps or working in inner cities. However, you'll have to "qualify" for the non-military service. IOW, your family has to be a wealthy Republican donor.

or "Will he do that", you should ask what's there to stop Bush from doing this or that? The Congress? The Media? The Courts? A second Bush term means that the sky is the limit for the neocon agenda.
