I've had more than my fill of these kooks and fascists this week. You can't even get away from it on liberal radio! DN has been broadcasting excerpts of the speeches. Between Conan the Republican, Tipsy & Dipsy, and Pickles I wanted to puke yesterday Had to turn the sound down. It really did sound like a Nazi party rally. Just speaking for myself, the last thing in the world I want to do now is check out freeperville.

4. Big Lie - inherited recession - being sold by Russert at NBC using same

words as the script the RNC has delegates using. Amazing.

We once had two ways to define a recession -

the Econ committe that follows trends and said it began in March of 2001 and ended 6 months later on Nov 1, 2001

and the Wall Street Journals rule of 2 qtrs in a row of shrinking GDP - which never did happen.

Now we have a third method of determining the date when a recession started - it is when the GOP says it started and NBC's whore Russert using that date over and over again (albeit "started under Clinton" and "inherited a recession" are not exactly firm dates! :-) ).
