I read Atlas Shrugged years ago...quite the book. Just curious... if you have read Shrugged and Fountainhead...you must be well read...

She believed in hands-off capitalism. Only the strong survive. The strong need not help the weak. Money, prestige and power are the be-all and end-all of life. She was an athiest and spirituality had no place in her work.
My two-bit interpretation. Others may disagree. She was a fine writer if you can ignore her philosophy while studying it.

PM me on a different discussion forum and BEG me to read Atlas Shrugged. She was just so sure that it would change my life, not to mention my politics.
I told her was older than dirt, that I'd read it eons ago when *I* was a sweet young thing, and had fortunately grown well beyond it quite rapidly.
