I just turned 18 yesterday, so I get to cast my first ballot for John Kerry. And I'm proud to do so.

I voted for 1976 - on the Carter race - and that is wrong. LOL, I am getting old - I voted for McGovern in 1972.

Though I did have a Mike Dukakis sign on my lunchbox in 2nd grade... Does that count? :)

| 10. If 18 year olds had been allowed to vote in 1968, |
|
I'd have voted for Hubert Humphrey -- although my heart belonged to Eugene McCarthy, for whom I campaigned. As it was, I didn't get to vote in a presidential election until 1972, less than 2 weeks before my 23rd birthday. I voted for George McGovern, of course.

I missed being able to vote for Al Gore by a few months. I did write the endorsement for him in my high school newspaper and was part of the 17-percent who supported him in the school's mock election- for whatever that's worth!

Mondale because that's the first one I was old enough to vote. Campaigned for Anderson in 1980 and "voted" for McGovern in a school election in '72. I was in second grade and I'm pretty sure that's when my mother (the "staunch" republican) knew she was in trouble.

I was first eligible to vote in '88 (didn't vote...can't recall why), however, but I would've voted for Bush then because I was an idiot who didn't have a clue about politics. Listened to my parents and little snippets on TV...kind of like a lot of Americans now.

he was actually suggesting a $.50/gallon tax on gasoline...something we should have done even before then.
