I took a day away from the political frenzy and this dang computer..we went out of town with family. That night upon returning, I signed on to DU only to find out the sad news AND that it had happened that very same day. I was stunned.

I've had the opportunity to talk with her about her struggle with military issues, her son etc. It was my pleasure to help out. I used your website to get my "gift" to her; I thank YOU for that. Matter of fact, I am encouraged to donate to your group in the future....so many causes, so few bucks.....but all in good time.

Two Anti-Kerry Vets Tapped for VA Panel

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Two former Vietnam prisoners of war who appear in ads attacking Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry were appointed by the Bush administration to a panel advising the Department of Veterans Affairs.

The former POWs in the ad, Kenneth Cordier and Paul Galanti, serve on the VA's 12-member Former POW Advisory Committee. VA Secretary Anthony Principi appointed Cordier in 2002 and Galanti in 2003.
