For the last few days, I have been in mourning. I will continue to mourn my husband. Let me tell you this, let me tell you what comes to me at this time, as I read today of what you are saying, many of you, as the darkness you see on the TV and in the news continues to make you fearful and afraid.
Let me tell you this.
Dont be afraid. The dark ones, the dark power that you are so fearful of, has no power. They have no power over you if you dont allow them to make you afraid. False power needs fear to thrive on. Without fear, it has no power.
Do not feed the monster. Do not be afraid. The monster of false power is a paper tiger. It collapses when it has no one fearful of it. It uses fear to control you, and everyone. There is nothing to be afraid of. Laugh at the false power. Laugh at it, be joyful as you take each breath each day. Death cannot kill you. Your spirit lives on. Those who profess power are empty, they have no power, and let me assure you, they use fear to control you.
Sit quietly and listen to your fears of them. Realize the fear is only in your mind. They have no power over you unless you let them have power.
Do not give them any power, do not be afraid of them. They are meaningless, their power is meaningless. Poof. Blow them away from you in your mind.
Do not listen to them, do not worry or fret over them.
They are paper thin. Their false power is temporary.
Dont be afraid.
Love and compassion are the forces of the Universe, of all good.
Do not be afraid, my good friends. There is nothing to be afraid of.
You give them power over you when you are fearful of them.
Sit inside your own being, feel your own goodness and compassion within you. Recognize how divine and wonderful you are.
They are paper tigers. They have no power. Their power is an illusion.
Namaste, your friend, who is not fearful of them. Poof.

5. Love and compassion have already won

whether they steal it or not, their power is false. They are temporary. We have, if we are living in Love and Compassion, never losing. Even if they steal the election, even if they attempt to stay in power, we win if we stay in Love and Compassion within ourselves.
We have already won , if we dont allow the false power to keep us in fear. They win, if we allow them to make us fearful.
Love and Compassion always wins. No matter what the election results, Love and Compassion always wins eventually over Fear and False Power.

10. Compassion

Thank you for using that term. I will never understand the lack of compassion in the world. Some people underestimate the power of compassion, but it is one of the most important qualities to have. To hear the lack of it coming from the right is sad and heartbreaking. As you say, as long as we live with Love and Compassion in our hearts, we have already won.

And Mari, my thoughts have been with you and your son. The outpouring of love and support that came from DU was truly amazing to me, and speaks volumes of your place in everyone's hearts here. Take care.

As sisters in the cause and a former MI resident, please allow me to extend my deepest sympathies for your loss. We all lost something when your husband died. Michigan certainly needs more people like you.

Mari, if you ever need some solitude and to be among people who are working for peace and justice, there's a co-op called Circle Pines Center, (about 2 hours from where you live) just north of Kalamazoo. It's an educational and recreational cooperative (not a commune) that has a fascinating 65-year history in peace and cooperation. It's a peaceful refuge in an otherwise crazy world. Situated on something like 300+ pristine acres, with a lake and many paths over hills and through woods, CPC has great restorative powers. A day or 2 there would do you great good. The number is 269-623-5555 and the website is www.circlepinescenter.org.
