You might get better results if you use a less general question in your subject line, maybe a proposition (for example, "industrial hemp would be good for the economy") and then put forth your opinion in the body of the message. People want to know what it is you want to discuss in less general terms.
Personally, I used to sell hemp and natural fiber products - the level of ignorance about hemp is amazing. I've fantasized for a long time about the idea of offering subsidies to tobacco farmers who converted from tobacco to industrial hemp but you know it won't happen. It makes too much sense.

The level of ignorance is astonishing. It's a miracle plant that has been demonized. In several hundred years they'll look back on these policies and wonder what the hell we could possibly have been thinking!
I know that there are more pressing issues for Kerry/Edwards, but does anyone know where they stand on this?
