| Bad Bill says Kelly Wallace, contradicts expert |
|
Edited on Mon Sep-06-04 07:50 AM by Jim4Wes
About 15 minutes ago a doctor from Cedars Sinai talked in the studio with Kelly on CNN about Clintons medical situation, and said at least twice that his condition was primarily due to genetic prediposition. She seemed to keep trying to push the diet/lifestyle issue and he placed it at a much lower level of importance.
But the talking point now from Kelly: Bill Clinton may be paying for bad diet lifestyle practices. Earth to Kelly!
Just typical nonsense from our media.

harped on the "presidential" treatment and posh treatment he has gotten all weekend. Felt kinda slimey talking about the view from his room, the gourmet chef....well, you get the picture.

| 2. I wonder how much the stress of dealing with the Ken Starr witch hunt |
|
contributed to his heart disease? Why doesn't anyone mention the stress of being president, let alone the stress of trying to be effective while there is a well-funded and coordinated effort to bring down the presidency?

I noticed this too in the media coverage. It struck me as the type of thing some people do when serious illness or death befalls a relatively healthy, younger person. For example, a good friend of ours recently died of a heart attack at 51. More than a few of the folks who showed up for the memorial service asked questions of his widow like "Did he smoke?" or "Did he not watch his diet?" Setting aside for a moment the bad manners of the people who even felt compelled to ask these kind of questions, I think its sort of a self-deluding exercise. I suspect these kinds of questions are asked by people who want to believe that you can indefinitely postpone death or major illness by exercise and diet alone. One of my favorite bumper stickers is "Eat Well. Exercise. Die Anyway." On the other hand, this is Bill Clinton and some people don't have enough class to resist taking a swipe at the man.

| 6. That is Clinton bashing, pure and simple. Don't call it anything but. |
|
It started as soon as the news hit. They will do ANYTHING to spew hatred toward the Clintons. No smear is too small to not repeat 50 times a day. The mainstream press are muckrakers, one & all.
