| A Paradox That Dubya Cannot Escape? |
|
Edited on Fri Jul-11-03 12:06 AM by jayfish
here is an angle of attack that I think could seal Shrubs fate. The war against Saddam Hussein is a failure. If Iraq did not have CBN weapons then everything that the mis-administration has told us was a lie. If they did have CBN weapons then they are lost and have probably been disbursed beyond our ability to retrieve them. It is a paradox he cannot escape.

| 1. The evidence is very strong and becoming stronger |

that no such weapons existed in Iraq from the mid-1990s on. This evidence was available to BushReich more than it was to us, who were skeptical. While I believed that Iraq had some and ambitions, I was misled and I'm sore at it. I was against any intervention without UN approval because of what this has cost us. Had we UN approval, the Iraqi people would have saved face and we would be facing far fewer attacks every day. This turned out to be nothing but an oil grab.

... that they'll find (or plant) something that they can trumpet as "evidence of a program". or maybe they'll be able to bribe some former iraqi official to tell a scary (yet unverifiable) tale of how bush* was right. that doesn't mean bush didn't lie, of course. but never forget, bush is a ruthless and unscrupulous man, who has control of an unimaginably powerful institution.

Then that would also be the final nail if caught, which surely would be caught.
