| CNN: 1000 dead in Iraq no big deal because when you add in Afghanistan, |
|
we passed the 1000 mark some time ago. This from Bill Schneider explaining the Bush/Cheney approach to the latest deaths. They don't want it to become a political milestone, therefore they're lumping Iraq in with Afghanistan. Woodruff and Schneider bought in and it's hard to imagine the rest of the vicious liberal media won't do the same.

| 1. So that means it was a big deal back when 1000 had died w/Afghanistan dead |
|
So why didn't they make a big deal out of it then?
(purely rhetorical question)

One dead is a big deal. What are these people talking about? And another thought occured to me. Does anyone think the parents and/or spouses of the people care if he/she was the 1000th or the 674th? I doubt it, the person is still needlessly dead. Friggin' media.

| 5. Every death should be a big deal. |
|
We should have the opportunity as a nation to know and to mourn for everyone that has lost their life while on duty. Our media and this administration thinks we should just sweep it all under the rug, not even think about it and go shopping.
Disgusting!

Very few fault us for going into Afghanistan, Iraq is a different matter.

the Kool-Aide is getting harder and harder to drink these days. How much washing can one brain take? Facts are no longer relevant, I swear it's like listening to the TV's in the 1984 novel. Truth is what we say it is, 2+2=5 because we make the rules. Common sense becomes a liability and is to be avoided at all cost!
Why can I see this disconnect so clearly and yet a sizable portion of the population simply takes it all in like they are in a trance?
