Need info on federal education budget & bush admin lies.

guy from the federal Ed. Dept came through town today to drop off a check, then brag how the Bush Administration is increasing funding for pre-school programs, reading etc. through No Child Left Behind.

This had the odor of campaign smoke and mirrors.

Can anyone give me some info, or perhaps a link to a site that sorts this out and speaks the truth?

1. GOP partial truth lies - Bush DID increase Ed funding - but NCLB requires

a great deal more than the increase in funding.

So you MUST do your test taking, and pay for that -

but you then have LESS MONEY FOR REGULAR TEACHING!

By shortchanging the NCLB funding, he has actually cut the monies available for real learning!
