that Sept. 11 is a day that will not be soon forgotten by anyone. Especially when it is used for political purposes in so many ads. I can only speak for myself but I do not need to see the planes hit the towers over, and over, and over again. I do not need to be reminded of the fear and death that filled NY that day. I do not need to be reminded of the emotion I felt as I, and many other people, watched it all take place wondering what was going to happen next and at what point it was going to stop.
Everytime I see commercials using Sept. 11 for political gain I am filled with so much disgust and hatred I cannot wait to run to the polls to do my part in getting * out of office.
I realize not everyone may feel as strongly as I do about seeing the images of that day, but for myself, I do not need to see it again and again. I wonder if there was a spike in antidepressant sales during that time period?
I feel much better after getting that off of my chest. At least I can do that here without being made to feel as if I am heartless and haven't mourned long enough.

| 1. Welcome to DU - and I agree 200%... |

A moment of silence, memorials are okay. A weekend of 9/11 footage on a loop does no good...
