I am so upset about this, I wish I had been able to remain calm and had been able to articulate what so badly needs to be said... I can't stop crying for them.. they are so lost.

and feeling regret over my loss of control (not what I said, but how I said it), I told my fiance I hated it. Out of the blue, someone would say something supporting bush and I finally started noticing that I could feel a knot in my stomach, tensed shoulders, and the rush of adrenaline. So I started listening to rush, but concentrating entirely on remaining relaxed physically (affirmations or prayers or just a reminder that "Peace is my only goal" helped me) I practiced posting on a local newspaper forum, but I wouldn't let myself write until I went through a full body relaxation and that whole peace routine.
I still feel that surge at times, but those times are fewer...and I have remained calm & responded factually while being yelled at, and THAT feels wonderful!
Your recognition of how you feel when you blew it is enough to start you on the road to feeling good when you say those very same things, but with your bod (& heart/spirit) relaxed.

I had it out with a good 200 of them about a month ago over the Kerry Communion/Abortion issue, and I know what you mean.
