Urgent Voter Registration Question: College Students in PA

Does anyone know for sure if college students living on campus in Pennsylvania can vote in Pennsylvania?

We seem to have a fertile field of unregistered voters, but we want this 100% above board and legal.

Anyone know for sure?

It looks like you have to be a resident of Pennsylvania only 30 days before the election - a resident for 30 days. What makes a resident? It look like it's just living there.

On Edit: You can register at the the driver's license facility.

2. If their legal address is still their parents' address (and they can't get

home on Election Day) they can vote by absentee ballot. That's what I was told at a meeting the other night.

Maybe you could call your county League of Women Voters. There is probably someone there who can help you. If you can't find out, e-mail me, and I will find out for you.

3. Don't just accept what you are told by third party sources.......

.......even if it is the LWV! Always go straight to the official source. :evilgrin:

In most cases that would be the Secretary of State's office.
