| What will we do with the neo-cons? |
|
Hopefully, when the reign of boy king Bush ends, so will the influence of the neo-cons. But there are a lot of very powerful people on the neo-con side, and also very powerful people like Grover Norquist running a deeper, dark side of politics in Washington.
What can be done about them? Will law enforcement be on our side in turning out convictions against any of these people, calling their constant undermining of the U.S. government treasonous? Will we be able to limit their influence? Will the Democrats be able to disperse them, not giving them any edge in accomplishing their radical goals?
These people are dangerous, and their rise to power has been on the shoulders of some very powerful repuke allies--their power was seen during the Clinton years as an emerging force to be reckoned with, and now that a lot of their agenda is now in the open, we must find a way to disrupt their totally whacked out purpose, and return the country to the people, and take it away from these special interests and meglomaniacs.
What should we be doing to expose people like Bremer, Perle, Wolfowitz, Kissinger, Cheney, Norquist and so many others? Are we too weak to take the power away from them? Will Kerry play ball with them, or will he have the decency to see them to jail?

Metphorically speaking. Prison would be good and all their money confiscated.

|
nothing will happen to these folks - they will make tons of money in the private sector... go on the neocon speaking network... work at neocon think tanks... and thrive. Heck some of the pentagon thugs are retreads from Iran Contra... at least one was even convicted related to Iran Contra (Elliot Abrams).. they just keep coming back. Unless something so horrible - and with so much public momentum behind it - turned these goats into something so repugnant that the media would have to cover it - as eventually was the case with Joe McCarthy... don't expect anything but easy street for these treacherous jerks.

especially for war criminals like these.
I'd chip in to buy them a ticket.

I'm completely serious about this.
If you've ever seen film footage of the Nuremberg Trials, one of the charges against the Nazi officials was "waging aggressive war."

| 6. They actually are a small caucus. |
|
What gives them power is that have formed a coalition with the religious right-wing goonies, the gun lobby and various other fringe groups, who think that they are just conservatives like themselves. The bad thing is that they now control our government.
If we can get them out of government and start an information campaign to tell everyone just exactly who they are, they will go back into being the small, unimportant faction they once were.

| 8. they murdered our leaders. |
|
We now have enough of a backlog of crimes to jail theirs. Their party's lock on power over the past 4 years has made them arrogant and careless. Evidence of their crimes is abundant and easily accessed. Just the abolition of the Geneva Conventions will hang most of them; the 2000 election theft, obvious bribery through quid pro quo campaign cash and outrageous conflicts of interest will take care of the rest.
Once the leaders are humiliated, disgraced, tried, and imprisoned, their cult will be easy to march back to the lunatic fringe. We'll have to keep an eye on them, of course, and make sure they don't get hold of sharp objects that could hurt anybody.
This should be a priority. Only by demonstrating a willingness to punish the crimes of the past 4 years can this country ever hope to rebuild any of the trust it enjoyed in much of the rest of the world.

they forced... endless fundraising... fundraising that has to pull at heart strings in order to get people to cough the money up... fundraising every single hour of every single day... repeatedly spreading the tales of families and communities in dire crises - because of the greedy policies of these individuals.
