| We must annihilate the RW media! |
|
Oops, a spelling error. What I meant to write is that we must "all stay up late" to watch the RW media.

The Republican Noise Machine, if you want to understand what the right wing has done to the media in the last 30 years.

that's the one I bought. We have our work cut out for us if we are ever going to get to a point where we don't have to expend all our energy just fighting off these Neo-brownshirts, and Brock is right when he says: Its the media, stupid.

The Right's "Mighty Wurlitzer" has done a complete culture jam. For instance, there is a crying need for Christians of a liberal mind to confront the cooptation of their faith(s). We also need some strong, clear, convincing writing done about the philosophy of liberalism, to take it back from having been reduced to a RW "talking point" (i.e., cliche).
We need to cultivate liberalism within the Republican Party, as well.
But the biggest "philosophical" challenge is to get liberals to admit that the destruction of the modern monstrosity that is neo-conservatism is a positive agenda.

I agree that PNAC is as heinous an enemy as has ever existed, but it seems as if the word "conservative" or "republican" should be inserted where you say "liberals"
Am I far off?

Liberals don't like to be seen as wanting to "destroy" anything -- it's so "negative". So we seldom hit the RW hard enough. We seriously need to see the destruction of American Fascism as a good thing. Too many of us don't.
Inside the conservative world, it's important to convince them that the neo-Con movement is fundamentally anti-Conservative. The way things are going, it won't take too much more effort.
