On NBC Nightly News tonight Brokaw said that Jack Hensley, apparently beheaded by Zarqawi's group, only went to Iraq because he needed the job.
It's an entirely new way to look at outsourcing and the Bush economic strategy. Unemployed? Outsource yourself! Get a job in Iraq and get beheaded.

NPR this morning had a woman who knew him saying he went to Iraq to earn money to build a house. The money is supposed to be a lot more that someone doing similar work can earn here, but it seems hardly worth the cost.
And why, with Iraqi unemployment at 60-70%, are foreign workers needed in Iraq at all?

The Iraqi's were about to be a 1st world country before we (as in the US) enticed Suddam into waging a war with Iran. Things have been going to shit since then.

The corporations would just as soon the whole population of Iraq sink into a black hole somewhere where they would stop getting in the way all the time. The Iraqi people are a stumbling block to dominion. Nobody there is going to see a dime if the corporate juggernaut can help it. That's my take.

|
paid by Iraqi companies, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

|
"I just did it for the money" isn't a very good excuse for anything.
