and thinking that when Martin Fletcher of NBC/MSNBC is ready to retire, he should be British Prime Minister or something. Or president of NBC.

He is just so freaking brave to have covered so many terrorist hot spots in the Middle East since 1982. He puts himself in harm's way every single day (and has for 22 years!) to bring us the news, and he delivers his reports in a serious, non-editiorializing way.

I dunno, I just felt like saluting Martin. A true television journalist, not like these pale imitations we see every day on the networks/cable news networks.
