I've heard reports that due to Ivan, the Mississippi River has reversed course.
I also heard that New Orleans could be under 18 feet of water.
Any word if true?

| 3. about NO being under water |
|
there was a thread last night about a worst-case scenario where if the eye of Ivan made landfall a bit west of NO it could cause NO to be under about that much water.
It said NO is about 9 feet below sea-level and the dikes and levees would be over-flowed making the 'bowl' that is NO a big-time disaster.
