Edited on Wed Sep-15-04 09:24 PM by Jack_Dawson
Did anyone see that segment??? Dude almost blew away w/ 60 mph winds. Are they going to leave him out there for the 140 mph variety? They'll find him in Nashville.
Aaron Brown Newsnight.
Good Lord.

In fact, wherever he was didn't seem at all safe. (What city? -- I missed that.)

| 8. How much do you have to need your job to do this shit? |
|
I understand the reporters going to vietnam and iraq to get a story, but this isn't a story, this is craziness to get crazy people to watch someone in trouble.
Why would a reporter do this job?

ok the wind almost knocked him over a few times, but they can't control what's flying around and if something, anything, hit him in the head, he would be one dead reporter. I can't believe their insurance company would allow such a stunt.

....reporting from some hotel. Piece of metal or aluminum siding came very close to taking out both her and the camera crew. If that would have hit them, it would have been bad indeed.

I was very afraid for him. I have sworn off cable news but the voyeur in me comes out for storms. However, what Anderson Cooper was doing was just plain stoopid!

But at this point, please, Anderson, GO INSIDE!!! He's hanging onto a planter to keep from blowing away. And the winds aren't anywhere near what they're going to get to in another hour or two!!

They usually send out the expendables during the hurricanes. :D
It's kinda like Star Trek. You always know the nobody sent down to the planet with the regular crew is the one that's gonna get it. LOL!

And hanging onto the planter. Which, by the way, is about a 500 pound FIXTURE. He's on his knees.
GO INSIDE, PLEASE!!!
Kinda like a train wreck, I have to watch!

like crazy. Weather Channel girl was bouncing all over.
The guy in New Orleans looked fine. He seemed to be right downtown and it wasn't even raining.
Our local ABC station has some guys right on the barrier island at Gulf Shores. They aren't able to send any pictures back anymore, but the audio is awesome. They are less than 3 miles from the coast!
