| City of Buffalo NY water rates to increase thirty percent. Why? |
|
On the local news this evening it is reported; city residents because of their high water bills have been conserving too much. Water rates must go up because consumption has gone down.
It has been my experience over the years the same reasoning applies to saving on household utilities, heating and electricity. Conserve, pay more.

| 1. Do you plan to keep this administration? |
|
Because one feels they could seriously use an audit.

I live in Silver Creek. Chautauqua Co. Our water comes from Erie County Water Authority--pretty expensive also.

but there's a bottled water they sell around here (central NY) that has that uses Buffalo municipal water supply. I'd think they'd be using enough water to drive down your costs.

water runs right past the City of Buffalo. They have plenty of water.
Lot of good stuff in that water too. Lot of chemicals and rare metals.

The bottled water is named something like "Clear Springs" or "Pure Mountain" and yet it's Buffalo city water.

Not outstanding, but potable.

Because Lake Erie is one big-ass lake. My mother lives a tenth of a mile from it, and I can't make sense out of this.

I imagine there is not enough usage money (Water bills) to cover the cost of processing and delivery, so it is necessary to increase the unit cost.
