Gallup axed people
"How do you think each of the following presidents will go down in history -- as an outstanding president, above average, average, below average, or poor?" Clinton did quite good, despite the 31% of conservative numnutz who said he was below average or poor.
The people are not sheeples. Despite the constant attack on reality by Rush and Fox and the CNN me-too'ers and the constant villification of Democrats and the constant scare-tactics of the Bush faction, the people know who's helped them and who's screwing them.
The dark blue area represents the "outstanding" and "above average" ratings of each recent president. Clinton rates above average, Poppy rates right at average, and the Boy rates below average.

If you average out the points for all the respondents, you get these numbers:
3.96 - Kennedy
3.86 - Roosevelt
3.56 - Reagan
3.03 - Clinton
3.02 - P Bush
2.98 - Carter
2.86 - Ford
2.81 - W Bush
2.69 - Johnson
2.43 - Nixon
I mean, sure, FDR was way better than Kennedy and Reagan was still in his post-dropping bounce. But the order is nearly right here.
