| Republican Crossword Puzzle Came Home Today |
|
My 2nd grader (son) has been bringing home election-themed classwork for the past week or two.
Today I was mildly alarmed when he brought home an elephant-shaped crossword puzzle that had "Republican" as a heading.
Word box included: president; slate; vote; Bush
Don't be upset....keep reading
I calmly asked my son "Are you doing a donkey puzzle tomorrow?" To which he replied "Well, I was going to do one today -- but there were none left, so I HAD to take the elephant one."
LOL
There were none left! YES!!!!! All the kids picked the donkey DEMOCRAT puzzle -- here in bucolic Bucks County, PA -- SWING STATE!
Kerry signs abound!

| 4. I think this is one time I'd help with his homework. |
|
I'd work to find ways to insert "FASCIST" "COWARD" "SMIRK" and many other such words in the crossword, even ignoring the 'clues.'
BTW ... are you sure the teacher didn't provide 25 elephants and only 5 donkeys?

| 5. LOL! I love your ideas for the "word bank" |
|
I'm pretty sure she provided a good mix of crossword puzzles -- my son said "Everyone wanted the donkey!" Do I think she could've/should've made more copies? YES!
