But this is becoming curious.

The person who originally posted the advertisement had around 20 posts at the time. Several DUers went there, got instantly banned and then defamed behind their backs. I in particular was accused of being a Freeper, and the person who said this lied by claiming I had attempted to inflitrate his chat room before. Others have since mentioned the possibility that the person who started it is trying to get IP's to attack them. Others have also mentioned being subjected to the same kind of treatment.

So, the original thread was removed, after which the original poster re-posted it. It was also removed, and so apparently that someone got you to post the advertisement for him/her.

My question is why the insistence? The mods have made their decision, and this person keeps pushing it, now using other DUers for the effort. At first I just thought it was someone with an ego problem, but now I'm starting to wonder if it isn't something more nefarious.

Whatever the case, at the very least, I find it highly impolite of this person to try to use DU and DUers this way.
