I have heard a story similar to yours before from a family friend of ours who was gay. He escaped a severe beating attempt on him by some football players by having to resort to severely injuring one of the individuals, basically destroying his windpipe so that he could never talk again. He seriously thought these peopel were going to kill him so he took no chances. What is scary is that in this column, the author mentions how he doesn't think that killing homosexuals is the answer. One of those "glad you cleared that up for us" moments. He then goes on to blast hate-crime laws and others he feels "protect" the gay "lifestyle".

I'm a biologist, which means that I have something the writer of the article does not: time spent in a biology class.

Homosexuality does not spread AIDS. Fact is amoung young african americans AIDS is the leading cause of death and there isn't a higher amount of homosexuality amoung blacks as opposed to whites. Second, I think maybe four lesbians in all of human existence have ever died of AIDS.

If all people were gay the human race would die. Funny, I thought if all humans were sterile we would die out.

Finally, I'm assuming this dullard does not know what a parthenogenic lizard is. There are certain speicies of lizards, that are ALL FEMALE (there are some insect species like this too). The females with no males around still get pregnant and give birth, a virgin bith to a clone. However, it's not uncommon for these lizards to engage in some girl on girl action now an again during the mating season. And many zoologists feel that the girl on girl action produces a sexual response that INCREASES fertility. So in the case of parthenogenic lizards, homosexuality is BENEFICIAL to their procreation.

You are correct in one way, in that it is probably due to alot of unprotected sex, especially when you consider how many young defenseless woman are raped on that continent. On your own stat reference, look under "Cases by Exposure Category" and you'll find that of all the reported cases in the U.S., Men Who Have Sex With Men are by far the leading category with regard to incidence of infection.
